Welcome the Mulleneaux site. Let me tell you about the art. The uniqueness in my work began to unfold with a curiosity of cubism. Also fascinated by animation and the spontaneity of graffiti art, the Mulleneaux style emerged full of personality. My initial response to the canvas is graffiti like under painting using texture created with several types of media. I am always invigorated by the free flowing nature of this part of my painting process. I become much more controlled laying in placements and color selections. Brushstrokes are applied very randomly and may have up to eighty strokes per square inch. As the vibrant color evolves the excitement continues. Throughout this creative process, I often pause, reevaluate and even recreate the painting. Then with much anticipation and discovery, the final work comes to life.
I feel that even the most overlooked elements in our lives have significance. I hope to call attention to these with a twist. My goal is to amuse and bring a smile. By pushing perspectives, I intend to keep my still lifes a little off kilter. “I Design Fun!” has always been my motto. Mulleneaux art will make you feel good.
