MULLENEAUX
BOLD, BRIGHT, EXAGGERATION As with many
others, I am moved by cubist expression. Picasso and his
contemporaries, especially Henri Mattise and Marcel Mouly influence my
paintings. Equally, I am fascinated by the drama and characterization
of animation. I truly enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee and
watching Saturday morning cartoons. Quirky perspectives, wild,
vibrant colors and simple life messages peak my curiosity. My art
is a compilation - a scrambled menagerie of all these interests.
Exaggerated planes of bright color stretch the imagination and skew
perspective. From faces to still lifes, characters emerge full of
personality and attitude. “I design fun!” has always been my
motto. I hope this message comes through in my expressions of art.
